ive been trying to burn a data cd onto a dvd disk and it fails to burn...

Some DVD burners require windows xp, but if you have xp try upgrading the drivers/firmware. Also if the cd has copyright on it nero will not burn it!

the OS is windows XP pro, it all worked fine before installing service pack 2.
and since then ive formated thinking that may help... but no luck.
