New Install of Mandrake Linux 10.1 and having mouse freezing issue :-(

This is my first time as a Linux user and after MANY reformats under Windows XP, I gave up. It just finished the Linux install so I really have no clue yet.
What's making me mad (and yes, I've looked all over for answers on this issue):-) is my darn Logitech, intellimouse keeps freezing. It freezes, my keyboard will still work and after about 2 minutes of just using the keyboard the best I can, it starts to workj again until I closea window, or move it, etc.
I went to Logitechs site for Drivers for Linux and no luck. What can I do?
I'm a newbie to Linux so please explain it slowly....:-) :hotbounce

Ok, I looked in the hardware area ...

The mouse was not listed, only the keyboard. This is a Logitech wireless keyboard, mouse combo for my dell. It sees all of my hardware except my mouse...It just froze again when I selected something on the menu and un froze again again after about a minute...HELP!

download Xandros Open Circulation. It's easier and it will work.
