Or they could all have cancer and be looking for a cure also - hoping to reach us for a solution to their life-shortening condition

What we should be looking for a cure for is old age.

hmmmm don't think so papa, there are already way too much old people on earth and even simply too much people . if a cure to old age would mean people would stay young, then maybe, but if it would stop them from dying but not from becoming old, then it's kinda useless to me at least ...

could find a cure for old age and then remove all the stupid warning lables we find on things, that way some natural selection would take place.

We should get a boost soon as I prepare the TS Extra section (you know, that non-link item in the menu), with UD Team information, IRC and other promotions like that one of free mag subscriptions.

OK, I've got two computers running it 24/7. One is a Cely 333 which is very slow, about 60 hours per set. The other is my main computer @ about 8 hours a set. I'm sure my wife will be complaining the next time she sees the electricty bill, but the slow system will still stay running 24/7 but I may only be able to run it on this system when I'm on it.

Great to have your cycles working for us Tarkus - In the next couple of weeks I may bring a couple more machines online to assist with this project. Neither my P4 3.0C nor my Dual 2.8 Xeon are doing anything at the moment.

Sorry for off topic guys... but... I don't really understand all this? What's it about? What can I do?

My dad died when I was 6 because of cancer, I'd like to help.

You just need to download the UD agent ( LINK ), create an account then log on to the site ( LINK ) & join the TS team ( LINK).

& remember, unused CPU cycles are lost cycles. Please do not waste your CPUs.

I wonder how work would feel if I put UD on my work PC? I'll have to give that some serious thought.

Hey guys, I wanna join the team and run this on my PC which is running Win2k pro. Is there a way for me to run it in the background only using unused CPU cycles like in XP?

If I remember correctly, when you have it running go to the task manager - look at the processes tab and right click on the UD process - you can then reduce the priority of it on your PC....

But as far as I know when you install it, it is set to the lowest priority by default.

I hope this is what you are looking for?

I'm all joined up. Except, I've got a question. Will this trash my performance in games or what?

I've never had it interfere with game performance so I would say probably not. I have it installed on several machines and have yet to experience it slowing anything down. I can't say for sure - but probably not gonna hurt your performance

43 members now.... I hadn't checked for a while, plus I haven't been running the UD client as the fan on my laptop started sounding a little dodgy. Running it again though
