Multiple BSODs when running off battery?

I am having multiple BSOD's when I am running my IBM t40 thinkpad (1400 Mhz 2047 MB memory) from it's battery. I am receiving

Bad battery or dirty connections. Maybe even a short where the battery terminal connect.

Are you using the IBM preload or did you re-install the OS?

If you did a re-install, make sure you have downloaded ALL the drivers for the laptop, particularily the power control related ones.

HI Sarahjbc,

Your windows patch is 4 years behind and device drive such ATI display card and Norton AV have the latest device driver. You must apply the latest windows patches or re-install windows

I got it fixed

I wound up completely draining the battery and recharging. that seemed to fix the problem, however, at a later time, I updated the patches and the OS upgrades. Thanks!! :giddy:
