ATI Radeon 9200 BSODs just about anywhere, anytime

I'll post the next halt messages I see. The computer crashes without rhyme or reason, in Firefox, in Opera, in Notepad, in Wordpad. About the only thing I can do 100% safely is play Freecell. Or play dead.

I have tested the memory successfully with Memtest86 on a number of occasions. I have done exhaustive (non-destructive) HDD tests without error. I have reinstalled Windows XP SP2 several times and Ghosted the HDD times without number.

Last week, I installed a new Codegen 400w ATX P/S, which I felt sure would fix the problem. But I've had half-a-dozen BSODs since then, so the P/S wasn't the problem.

I usually set the video at 800x600x32. I think it is the ATI Radeon 9200 driver, 6.14.10.6553, or the Catalyst 5.7 driver. ATI doesn't respond to my emailed request for support, so here I am!

Usually a BSOD will have a Stop error such as 0x0000008, or identify a system file. Right click on My Computer, select Properties-Advanced-Startup and un-check Automatically Restart.

Two minidumps have the same symptom. Probably it is faulty ram. Some faulty ram can pass memtest. You also ZoneAlarm and your version have a lot of confirmed finding. ZoneAlarm crashes windows because it conflicits with some software such as eMule and etc. De-install ZoneAlarm may resolve the problem.

Suggestion
1. Check the temperature of the CPU and make sure that it is not overheat (ie temperature < 60C)
Make sure that the CPU fan works properly
2. Reseat the memory stick to another memory slot. Reseat video card as well.
3. Downclock the ram. Check to default setting if you video card is overclocked.
4. Clean the dust inside the computer case
5. Make sure that the ram is compatible to the motherboard
6. Check the bios setting about memory timing and make sure that it is on
For example : DIMM1 and DIMM2 do not have the same timing.

7. Run chkdsk /r at command prompt

If it still crashes, diagnostic which memory stick is faulty
1. Take out one memory stick. If windows does not crash, the removed memory stick is faulty.
2. If you have only one memory stick, replace the ram
