You answered yourself already, only PCI card will work on your motherboard.

Some examples:
Visiontek Radeon X1300 SFF / 256MB DDR2
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...563226&CatId=0
Visiontek Radeon 9250 / 128MB DDR
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...563229&CatId=0
3DFuzion GeForce FX 5500 / 256MB DDR
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...520540&CatId=0

I'm using the third one, but the first one is the best.

thanks vnfultra for the answer
well i want to answer back about some pci issue, well i discovered an integrated ethernet port thank god, im using it now for internet, so i got one pci slot free , but i got modem inserted on another pci slot, i dont use it, so my question is, i need to unplug the modem for the video card? i dont use the modem so is not using the pci shared bandwidth right?

The diamond card claims to be 128bit, which would be nice, but one of the reviews claims the card is really a 64bit. (Customer reviews aren't definitive though, customer intelligence varies.)

Viper is a series of cards by Diamond, which I think is supposed to be more "high end" than the stealth series.

I'd get the diamond, it's cheaper, and it could be a 128bit card(and if it is really 64bit, then it's the same as the visiontek, but cheaper.) The diamond also appears to come with a dvi to vga adapter and a svideo/composite cable, that the visiontek lacks.

Hey, um...sorry for intruding on your post, but I convinced my grandparents to get me this graphics card:

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...500_Video_Card

Now, I know what I wanted. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS: Is this card fully compatible with the Sims 2? I didn't see it as a supported card in the system requirements... Also, considering System #1 is a Compaq Presario S5010NX with a 250W PSU in my profile...Would this card work? Would it potentially blow my PSU? Finally...considering all of this info, what would be the potential future gameplay this system could support, and what performance benefit would I get from using this card in my system?

ebay?

Sims 2 supports a fx5200, so a fx5500 should be fine(5500 is a slightly faster 5200). Most pci cards draw very little power, so my guess is that it'll be fine.

Future gameplay is very limited if you only have a pci card or integrated graphics.

ok i need some help here
im going to buy an x1300 card i need some advice
i have to choose between the diamond viper (will be avaiable on amazon after christmas (http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Viper-...&s=electronics) ) and the visiontek.
I almost know everything about the visiontek it got like 4 reviews, benchmarks, almost 5 stars on every customer review at online stores, i know its a 64 bit card and stuff like that.
But i know almost nothing about the viper i havent found a review or something helpfull, also i know both card were launched at the same time (october 2006 i think) so whys the visiontek so popular?? maybe its a better card, its also easier to find.
I hope someone who already bought a diamond viper x1300 pci can review it or at least give me an advice
thanks

That card at amazon is the same as the one at newegg. They're both PN X1300PCI256SB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103016

The reviews on newegg are so-so for the diamond.

Visiontek also makes a 128bit card.

So the diamond is actually a 64 bit card right (i read that form one review at newegg) and that visiontek is a Small Form Factor Video Card, its a really small card and i read somewhere that it wont fit on my cpu because is too small, is that right??
maybe this card from diamond is a real 128 bit? http://www.diamondmm.com/X1300PCI256.php
or is the same ???
thanks

yes I am about to order this card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103016

which is the same as this right?

http://www.diamondmm.com/X1300PCI256.php

I just want it to be in fact 128 bit i mean the site says it is and newegg says so. so shoudlent that means its 128 bit and that reviewer is wack?

im upgrading from a 6200 PCI 3D Fuzion

6200 is

64 bit
DDR
350/400 mhz
128 MB

the X1300

is supposedel 128 bit
450/500 mhz
GDDR2
256 MB

both with 4 pipes

even if x1300 is 64 bit ti still beats the 6200 by alot but i really wannna know for sure if its 128 bit i mean 2 official site says so

and the reviewere is dumb

You know, I got a PCI FX 5500 from CompUSA, didn't know what memory interface it was, and then was surprised to find out (through Everest) that it was 128bit. You can always send it back if it isn't what you want, right?

I've done some research on compatibility with older systems and have since learned that if your computer is more than a few years old, and you upgrade the video card to one of the more powerful models designed in recent years, there's a fair chance you'll overpower the rest of the system graphics-wise and degrade rather than enhance overall system performance. If you have an older system (PII, K6 etc.) with only PCI slots and want to upgrade the video card, check out the review at http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/articles/show/445 . Although you may be hard-pressed to find the cards reviewed in this article for sale at modern computer parts retailers, many of these models (both new and used) can be found up for auction on Ebay.
