Is this a custom built rig or pre-built? What mobo and psu are in the new setup?

1. I hope that's a typo and that's DDR2 ram and not DDR. I'd also hope he splurged for the CAS4 vs. CAS5 memories. I'd also be concerned which DDR2's he got (667's or 800's).

2. Depending on mainboard, SATA might have been a better choice over ATA.

3. AC'97 isn't a soundcard. It's integrated audio. While this is okay for some people, it does hog more CPU power when gaming.. so even a cheapo $30 US Audigy SE would likely perform better.

Everything else looks good though! The X800 GTO is an excellent bang-for-the-buck card and the Pentium D 930 is a great core (Presler core/800mhz)... provided it has DDR2 memories behind it, that is.

Thanks for the replies, this is a pre-built computer with a new vid card and a new cpu. No it isnt a typo they are only DDR-400 PC3200 sticks. Im glad i made the choice to upgrade to that video card and cpu. Would this be able to handle the latest games very well?
