I think it will be grand.
Does Linux make movies somehow better than other movie-making-thingies?

Known as "action" movies. Lol

*Offence not intended*

Personally, I am really into my movies and can sit back and watch almost anything, however thrillers are my fav. Being in the film industry myself I am interested in this thread, however I do have my doubts about the 300.

That is a very, very broad category. There are many action movies i like that don't involve sword fighting.

Agreed, however the "Predictability" part remais a constant in action weather it is sword, guns, or futuristic lasers!

I like all types of movies: action, chick flicks, scifi, mysteries, thrillers and old classics. I don't like the gore movies. I saw the 1st "saw" and didn't care for it too much. The main reason I want to see "The 300" is it sorta, at least to me, like a landmark film in a small way. It might be like when I saw my first movies in color, The Wizard of Oz(for the longest time i couldn't stand monkeys..), King Kong, my first James Bond film, the spaghetti westerns, The Wild Bunch with blood flying all over the place, Star Wars.... I guess I'm just hoping to feel like a kid at the movies again.:bounce:

That was very off-topic and slightly vulgar for a forum if you ask me....

LOL I don't think it was that bad. Just a rant, not a post swearing at or ridiculing someone is it?

So I saw it already and I liked it, reminded me of Sin City the way it was shot so if you like that movie you would probably like 300.

BTW it has lots of TNA
and the CGI was Very Good

According to Showbiz Weekly it's earned $27.7 million on it's opening Friday. More reason to go watch it? I'd like to think so...

"off-topic" The topic was seeing the movie. I got sick, I couldn't go and plans had been made with family and friends.... I was venting and joking. If you couldn't see that, you need to get out more cfitzarl.

It is based on the well-known legend of the battle of Thermopylae. And the plot in the graphic novel was quite complex and good, so I don't see why it wouldn't be the same in the movie, seeing that Frank Miller is an Executive Producer of the movie which means he probably oversaw the development to the T.
P.S.->No, I haven't seen the movie yet, since it's releasing here on the 22nd. #%#@$!

But I will..... basicly the inspector finds out and when he the guy tries too flee he ends up meeting the marksman that killed his brother and he gets shot down just before he can kill him.

It is quite remarkable

My review of 300-

-300 men vs. a whole bunch of transvestites, with gore.

I actually enjoyed the fighting scene more then i thought, because it was right to the point. (slash, dead). But besides that i found myself thinking...when the hell is this going to be over.

Hmm... each to his own I suppose. But I loved it. I suppose it would have to do with my fascination with comics et al.
