i saw the movie 2 weeks ago! i liked it, it was all good and everythin, but what i didnt like is its not the full story! they should battle the roman army! its a big story that i expected to see!
who played Spartan- a real warrior. if u played this incredible game u will know the story!
however the movie was good, i'd give it 9/10

What do you mean the whole story? And where do the Romans fit into the Battle of Thermopylae? This movie was not about Sparta, but about that particular incident which led the Greeks to unite against the Persian armies from Asia.

That link gives no info about that particular part of history methinks. The Battle of Thermopylae was fought before the Rome-Sparta war. I know this because Sparta lost the latter.

You do understand that "300" is a heavily fictionalized adaptation of a graphic novel of the battle of Thermopylae and not a documentary. Don't you?

Please note I'm not knocking the pursuit of historical knowledge.

Some nice choreography in the battle scenes, but totally ahistorical. Take it as a piece of fiction (it was based on a graphic novel after all), but start equating it to history, no. The portrayal of the Persians was laughably ridiculous.

lol i second that but none the less, the movie was great.
the part where leonidous kicks the persian into the hole is very exaggerated and it's great. "THIS ...... IS ...... SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
