I received a BSOD. I think it might be memory but want someone to verify it.

Any help appreciated.

I replaced my memory stick to another identical one a got another BSOD. I don't think it's not the memory.

Can anyone help?

Cheers.

All the system crashes at IRQL x'1c' and this is the symptom of hardware error. However I never see IRQL x'1c' crashes in a row with 4 occurences. I suspect it is related to software error. At least I find three known software problem at your windows.

SYMEVENT.SYS Tue Sep 19 08:52:19 2006 (450F3F43) Norton AV
nv4_mini.sys Wed Dec 05 18:20:59 2007 (47567B8B) nVidia Display Card Driver
RtkHDAud.sys Tue Oct 16 18:38:15 2007 (47149497) RealTek Sound Card Driver

Upgrade them to latest level. Repost if you still get BSODs.

Blue Screen Again

Thanks for having a look at my problem. After your reply, I received another Blue Screen.

I replaced my 1gb memory stick with another identical one. I've been running my system on 1 gb only. This is the third time I've changed my ram and all sticks have got a BSOD. So I am certain it is not the ram.

I have updated all my drivers: Display, Sound, Mobo.

I noticed you mentioned RealTek. I bought a Sound Card but have to use a RealTeck HD Audio Driver (OnBoard Sound). My Sound Card does not provide a HD Audio Bus Driver.

I have no idea what the problem is though.

Here is the new minidump.

Your latest minidump has the same version of device driver.
Questions
1 Do you install any firewall software?
2 Besides Norton AV, do you install any AV at your windows?
3 Do you overclock the CPU or RAM?
4 What is the temperature of the CPU when BSOD occurs?

I got another Blue Screen while on the internet. I just loaded windows and was on the net for like 15 mins.

I only use Windows Firewall, Windows Defender and use NAV.
I don't OC anything.

My Temp is around 42° on a hot day (idle)
It drops to 36/37 at night.

Here is my latest BSOD

I haven`t a fix for you,but if you want to remove Norton,

the Norton Removal Tool is the thing you need.

Removing Norton will make your crashes run more smoothly.

I will do that now.

Thanks

For the last Blue Screen the event id was 7026 which is a device error I believe.

Thought it might be useful information.

Your version of nVidia Display Card has known software problem. Open a problem at nVidia website.

Refer the following problem
http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic96465.html

All the crashes have the same symptom, maybe it is firmware problem of the m/b. Upgrade the firmware of your m/b.

My m/b has got the latest drivers.

I think I might unistal my display drivers and use an older one perhaps?

I removed my Display Drivers and installed the latest Display drivers from XFX website (my Vid Card is XFX) and got another BSOD.

I don't think I have had this error before.
The error code is 1000008e.

If this BSOD is still "device/hardware Error" I will be taking this to a repair shop within a few days.

It's becoming so annoying now!

Thanks for all your efforts.

Cheers

It is great progress as your windows is crashed with bugcheck code 8E and it is different to all of your previous crash (ie bugcheck 0A at IRQL x'1c'). Bugcheck code 8E maybe caused by device driver or RAM. Attach the latest minidump here.
