Battery Life

Normally I don't bother discussing the battery life of gaming laptops in detail, but as this is a portable device that could conceivably be used as a workstation on the go, battery life is important. The Blade includes a 70 Wh lithium-ion polymer battery, so it's smaller than the MacBook Pro but larger than a typical gaming laptop.

The Blade performs well for a laptop with such powerful hardware inside. In fact in a number of tests, the Razer Blade performs around the level of a mid-tier ultrabook. We're still seeing top-end 13-inch ultrabooks like the HP Spectre x360 outperform the Blade by a few hours, but in general, the Blade holds its own.

If you want to game on battery, you'll be lucky to get longer than an hour of life without constraining the performance of the GPU significantly.
