you know a 2 player pc game like Lord of the rings: ROTK or harry potter

Yes it's possible, provided one player plays with a gamepad and the other with the keyboard. Me and my bro do it all the time .

Fifa's definitely worth a shot, the latest version is a big improvement, after some very disappointing efforts over the last few years....
