Amazon Instant Prime users, access to The Walking Dead

I started watching The Walking Dead on Netflix some time ago... but they only have the first two seasons. Now I'm on the last ep of season 2 and was looking where to get more. I saw Amazon had it so I signed up for a free 30 day trial. However lots of stuff in the "free, unlimited" trial doesn't appear to be free, and is indeed limited. The TV show I wanted to see is saying I have to pay like $3 an episode. I'm sure as hell not going to pay $80 a year if I have to pay even more out of pocket to watch newer stuff. Am I just limited in what I can see without paying because its a "trial"?

So I'm posting here out of curiosity. Does anyone else pay for this service? Do you have unlimited access? Do you still have to buy episodes???
