Asus ROG Swift PG35VQ Review: The Best Monitor We've Ever Tested

Thanks for the review, very detailed and on the money! For me, I'd go with the LG 55" C9 OLED for that price range thank you very much. I have a 55" OLED B8 and it blows any PC monitor out of the water n color fidelity, and my GF and friends get to enjoy it with me to boot when they visit. $3000 for a PC monitor is just not feasible for the vast majority of people.

Anyways, can you please do a "best 1440p PC monitor feature" for the masses? Are there any 30"+ 1440p high-end monitors coming up?

"A more reasonable price would be between $1,500 to $2,000 considering you can buy a monitor like the LG 34GK950F right now for ~$1,100 which offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution at 144 Hz without the HDR "
Fyi the the Alienware 120hz oc 3440x1440p ips monitor is selling for $799 with $75 gift card seems more palpable.
As for me, I'm holding off for a 32 inch 4k 1000 nits hdr 120 hz+ with adaptive sync display to upgrade my Asus pg348q monitor.
for $2500 you can't even watch 4k movies, but its still an amazing monitor.

“The Best Monitor We've Ever Tested“. How does it compare to reference monitors? You make it sound like it compares well, but no! For clarity, best gaming monitor? Or if it compares well to reference monitors, it’s a super deal

Since the beginning of the year I planned to buy 2 PG27UQ, but I had the feeling something new will popup soon. So now it is confirmed and even it is even better than I expected.
I am still planning to buy 2 of them because I really need to use a dual monitor setup, however I am a bit afraid that they will be to big having the 2 monitors together.
First of all, do you think it would work fine having them in a dual monitor setup? And what about the space they will occupy, knowing that the width of each monitor is 833 mm? I have only desktop space for about 1700 mm and that space need to be shared with my desktop speakers that occupy each 15 cm. As they are curved, I could put the center of the 2 monitors more far away from me and make a big curve using both monitors. It would be nice to know how far I can set them up for still comfortable viewing and saving up the space to place my desktop speakers.

When anyone claims "the best" of anything I have to seriously ask, just how many monitors have they tested? Two, three, or less? And any evaluator I've ever known has to consider price as part of the evaluation ... at $2,500 and higher I'm guessing the market will be somewhat limited. Kind of reminds me of when they fired W. Eugene Smith from LIFE magazine and the photo editors cried out "but he's' the best photographer in the world!" .... Charlie Derniack calmly said "then get me the 2nd best photographer in the world" .......

But is it 3D Vision compatible like the smaller PG27VQ? Do you have a 3D Vision IR emitter to test?

I'm sorry, are you from the past?
3D Vision has been dead for years O_o
I forgot to never post again here, never a reply from author and then such silly comments like yours. 3D is well alive with the help of some amazing folks in our great community. I'm just sorry for you that you cannot play in 3D.

LOL 3D visions is dead as a doornail and completely irrelevant to a monitor coming out in 2019. If yo u want 3D you get a VR setup in 2019. Even VR is a niche market. This monitor will rock your socks off if you have the hardware for it, but at $2500 it's not worth it unless you're loaded.

Most 4K movies are 2.35:1 to 2.39:1 aspect ratio so a large chunk of a 4K display would just be black bars. This monitor's 2.33:1 aspect ratio is just about perfect for most movies. Though on PC you're limited to Netflix or ripping UHD Blu-rays to watch HDR content. I have this monitor and it's amazing for watching most UHD Blu-rays, especially since Atmos/DTS-X is way cheaper to get working with headphones than with speakers. I did still get a Vizio P75QX-H1 for 16:9 content, other streaming services, and group viewing though.
