Will a motherboard which supports ata133 be compatible with a Ata100 HD?

Yes.

All ATA devices are backward compatible. An ATA133 HD will work on an ancient IDE controller (if we ignore the size limitations) and you can plug any IDE/ATA device to your ATA133 controller without any worries.
