Audio question

This is something that has been bugging me for a really long time, my motherboard (P5P800) has a digital coax out but it doesn't put out 5.1 like it is suppose to, only 2 channel for some stupid reason, my amp that I'm trying to connect to has the right input and does recognize the 5.1 signal from other audio devices. My question is if there is a device that converts 5.1 from three 3.5mm jacks to a digital coax signal, been looking around but searching is something I'm very bad at and have had little to no luck apart from a USB device that puts out via a coax, not specifying if it is in fact 5.1 or not, any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

But will upgrading to the sound blaster live make the coax put out in 5.1? if it doesn't then theres no point. Also I already have an Audigy 4. And I'm going to assume the device I'm thinking of doesn't exist either.
