Can I save a windows update file?

Due to my location, I must suffer through dial-up modem connection with a download speed of between 0.7 to 6 kbps. I am NOT joking about this. However, when I travel, I have access to broadband with my laptop. Is there any way that I can save those GIGANTIC windows update files on my laptop and then load them on my desktop when I return home?

Take a look at
www.autopatcher.com
They use to have a really good program, but now they use a much smaller one that automatically downloads all MS updates, which can be then copied to a CD (to use at a later time)
