Can someone check these logs for me please.

I'm pretty sure i've followed all the steps, my machine is still going very slow and the internet is sluggish!

Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Download the Pocket Killbox programme from HERE. Extract it but don`t run it yet.

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial56.html

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

dxvwvjgz.exe3072.exe

Close task manager.

Run HJT with no other programmes open(except notepad). Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WinMedia] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxvwvjgz.exe3072.exe

O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: SearchList = ee.kent.ac.uk<Only fix this, if it doesn`t belong to your ISP or you don`t recognise the domain.

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winjjq32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winjjq32.dll

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Run the killbox.exe file. When it loads type the full path to the file you would like to delete in the field and check the delete file on reboot button. press the Delete File button (looks like a red circle with a white X). It will prompt you to reboot, select no until you have finished inputting the files you want to delete, only then allow it to reboot and hopefully your files will now be deleted.

These are the filepaths you need to enter into killbox.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winjjq32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxvwvjgz.exe3072.exe

Once your system has rebooted, turn system restore back on.

Post a fresh HJT log and let me know how your system is running.

Ok done all that, was going so well, removed the entries from HJT, except ee.kent.ac.uk because that is my university domain.

Opened killerbox, attempted to delete C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winjjq32.dll, it replied it "file could not be deleted"

However C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxvwvjgz.exe3072.exe deleted fine.

Any ideas how to remove this last nasty?

Run HJT and click on the config button. click on the misc tools button then, Click on the delete file on reboot button and browse to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winjjq32.dll click open and HJT will prompt you to reboot your system, click yes.

Once your system has rebooted, post a fresh HJT log.

Regards Howard :)

Yes, that got it. Your HJT log is now clean.

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.

now im not sure if this is spyware or not but, when try to play any online game for example, fear, call of duty2 or css my ping shoots up, over 300+. Now this could we be to do with something that is running in the backgound but i dont know what it could be. As far as i can se there is nothing that hasnt been there before.

Post a fresh HJT log if you want and I`ll take a quick look.

If it`s still clean, then maybe you should open a new thread in the appropriate forum.

Regards Howard :)
