Can't get rid of Win32:Trojan-gen

Hi thanks for helping...

As I was running avast antivirus today and discovered that my computer is infected with the following:

Win32akes-G [Trj]
Win32: Trojan-gen.{upx!}
win32: Trojan-gen. {Other}

It also says it cannot delete them.

Do you have any ideas?

Btw, I'm running Windows XP

if you're using avast anti-virus there is a bug in the program for win32 trojan. It appears to be a false positive. Try AVG anti-virus or norton instead.

Thanks for answering. Had no idea this happened to Avast. Don't have Norton, so I'll have to try out the other one you suggested. Thanks for your help!
