Can't install Age Of Empires 3

I'm using an Windows XP service pack 2.

When I go to install the game I get a message saying:

"E://setup.exe is not a valid win32 application" in drive E, and

"D://setup.exe is not a valid win32 application" in drive D.

I also received this message before: "E:\
Only a part of ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory was requested."
