Cd rom problem

i have incorrectly tried to install a cd rom drive i am getting
error message acpi bios non compliant tried pressing F7 at end of boot does nothing

What machine have you installed it into?? You are obviously having bios problems but there are many different bioses out there!!!

Does it work when you remove the CD-ROM drive?
What exactly did you do in the first place?
