ok this would usually be an easy fix for me, however it is different to many irq problems in one way - i have a conflicting IRQ but it is not being used by any PCI devices!
my IRQ 22 is being conflicted by my onboard sound controller and a USB controller:
winmsd reports in conflicts as:
IRQ22 Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
IRQ22 NVIDIA(R)nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface
i just started getting bluescreen of death, with the message of a conflicing IRQ, and that i should reinstall the hardware. This just started happening out of nowhere, i didnt install anything!
If i disable the USB one, i loose my internet. If i disable the NVidia one, i loose sound. If i leave both of them under IRQ22 i get BSOD, i get mashed up sound and my internet keeps disconnecting from my USB modem.
if i go into BIOS to manually assign IRQ numbers to devices, it only goes up to 15.
can anyone tell me a simple routine to change one of these IRQ numbers??
