Computer power on problems.

May sombody can help me I am having problems it seems when I shut down the computer the only to turn it back on it to unplug the power or switch off and then on the psu but it has to be off long enough for the power to completely drain from the motherboard. I know what type of computer

Amd 64 3500
Biostar geforce 6100-m9
Geforce 7900gs video
2 gig of pny pc 3200
onboard everything except video right now

It runs great when it is on but Getting it on is where the problem lies I checked all of the power swiches and led's to make everything was correct and it is.

If there is anything more i need to add to this thread just let me know but that is all I have 4 right now any information would be great( aside from getting a new mother board I already thought of that and wht I want is too expensive)

I had a similar problem and it was cured by changing the PSU over in the end.

Psu may not be the problem

thanks for your input but what if I already changed the psu and still have the same problem( by the way the new psu is a different brand and wattage)
