hey guys..

wanna start off by saying u do some great work here...many great responses on how 2 fix this problem..

ok...

im on XP SP3...i run McAfee 'total Protection' lol...and Windows Doctor for removal of lil issues or cleaning..

i have the same as every1 else...

when i go to Safari, IE7 or Moz3...same problem...im redirected 2 the bogy google every1 talks about...when search page is loading it goes through 2 different IP addresses...

now ive followed previous advice...ive installed Kasperkey (can't Update), Malwarebytes (can Update), SUPERantiSpyware (can't update)..

i did the scan with all three...malwarebytes found and removed them...but still have same problem...

i did a DNS flush....still same problem

i also switched off System Restore and went through steps @ that time..

so i will leave u with results..

****NOTEAs is it Christmas, my folks are wishing to know if they will be able to do internet shopping such as EBAY, or internet banking. With this issue that we have.

so attachments bolow include...hijack, and 2 malwarebytes

no superantispyware...as database is from 2007.
but i am scanning with it now anyways and will edit my post..

thankz

HI Woodsy001

Sorry no one got back to you. I will take a look at your log when i can and get back to you.

If you are being re directed DO NOT use any form of personal information on the wbe. Crawlers can and will steal you info.

I will get back to you when i can.

Hi Woodsy001

I'm looking through your log now however i don't think I'm going to get it finished quickly so just some other things to try.

.Ive installed Kasperkey (can't Update), Malwarebytes (can Update), SUPERantiSpyware (can't update)

1, For each of the programs you mentioned above there are definition updater available for your to download and install without the need for the update

Superantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html

Kaspersky (select your version then unzip) http://www.kaspersky.com/avupdates

Malwarebytes (didn't know whether you missed out the 't on the update possibility so here it is anyhow
http://www.gt500.org/malwarebytes/mbam-rules.exe

2,
How you tried resetting your router. Press the reset button on your router and then restart your PC. This could reset hopefully leading to better access.

3
I would advise more on the install of Spybot S&D.
Download Here.
The definition updates are on there to.

Here are my user instructions
Scan and hopefully it may pick up anything else.

Sorry i cant get your log done quicker but Christmas is on my mind

Cheers :wave

oh of course dude.....i wasn't expecting you 2 b able 2 get itdone b4 Xmas...

but ill follow wat uve done...n see how it is...

was hoping now that xmas is over...that some1 may look @ my logz n that now..

i still have same problems

thankz..i hope every1 had a safe holiday..

ciao

ok here are my latest logs

at the moment things r on improve however...any advice on programs i should remove etc

that would b great

Thanks, well I'd un-install:
McAfee (too slow! use Avira instead)
SUPERAntiSpyware (I hate how it starts with Windows)
Actually run Startup Control Panel and remove most of those shortcuts that startup (if it helps, I have one -> Avira)

yea im pretty tempted 2 remove McAfee after this effort...

was there anything u were aware of lookin through my hijack logz?

thankz

The log is just waay too big
I'm actually glad you asked about what to remove! (ie everything from starting, including McAfee )

will disabling the programs from startup affect things such as my logitech keyboard or my soundcard driver etc etc?

Possibly
Thankfully Startup Control Panel is reversible, just retick the disabled entries
Continue on, removing them :grinthumb

copy-book

Hi, everyone.
Here's my story. I was looking for Vivitar vivicam 3930 firmware update, did search in google, downloaded what i thougth was my update, the exe was called "videosoaft"
i opened it and wham i was infected, i tryed everything to get ride of it after 6 hours i had enough. i reinstalled my system and the infection (copy-book)has gone, my op is windows xp pro.
Ok so i will have to install a few things again but a good reinstall every now and again is good my pc is wizzing along now. Save yourself some time and reinstall its not that bad and then you can chill and enjoy the new year party Happy new year 2009!
beer please!
cheers!
Sorted!

Hi woodsy,

I'm really sorry i forgot about you and you log  sorry again.

Just follow Kimsland advice you are in good hand there but remember to check what you are disabling. Also i second her on the uninstall of Mcafee but only disable SAS from starting up don't uninstall as its useful for the future.

Also can you go back to your HijackThis.

Press scan and put a tick next to the following objects ONLY:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {140BD8E3-C167-11D4-B4A3-080000180323} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B56A7D7D-6927-48C8-A975-17DF180C71AC} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {76D100C0-B3F5-404E-A0CF-F5E1F14ECE72} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
O23 - Service: Even54xhs - Unknown owner - (no file)

Then press fix checked.

Then if you are going to uninstall Mcafee uninstall it and then post a new log and we will double check to make sure you have removed it all.

Sorry for leaving you again :)

Also quoting Catboss there the only reason this took a while was A we cant be there to do it so it has to be done when we are online and so is the end user and B Christmas was in the middle. After that it takes 30 Minutes when you know how which is the same time as a reformat and probably quicker after setting it up how you like it and reinstalling drivers etc

Thanks for the mention rev_olie.
Just installed Firefox 2.0 and had a bit of a scare avast Antivirus (which is free) poped up and told me i had a virus ( iamfamous.dll ) avast gave me the option to remove it which i did.
Everything is fine so far.
Cant say enough about avast great software.
bye for now, have to do the dishes.

Ohh thankz guyz appreciate it heaps...

so i removed those stuff from hijackthis,,,

if i uninstall McAfee...personal opinion on which virus protection software i should get,,,

doesn't matter if its a freeware or i have 2 pay for it...just dont need this **** happening again...ino that my comp is gettin 2 old for this **** lol....im just waiting for Windows 7

Avira, Kaspersky or NOD32.

Ive written a long list of reviewed software here
Take you pick and go with it but yes something 4 stars of more...but if kim comes back tell her you got Avira or she will tell you you have downloaded rubbish software :p

oooops sorry bout that lol...

im mod on several forums...should know better

i got Kasper already...it seems pretty switched on...

AVG worth a look def?

If you have kaspersky then keep that. If you install AVG there will most likely be problems with compatibility as it is unwise to install more than one Antivirus at a time.

Also AVG doesnt have great removal rates. Its more of a find it and put it in a box type software so stick with kaspersky

done so ive uninstalled mcafee...n ready 2 go with Kasper

thank u all very much for ur help

hope u had a nice christmas n new years

thankz again
