Deleting browsing history on Google Chrome

On my HP desktop I delete my browser history regularly, yesterday I did so & now when I try to log in to my yahoo addy it tells me to check my email address at ****hotmail.com for code, I go there & nothing in there, not even in the spam folder. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling browser & doing a system restore but still no code. Any suggestions? This has been going on since yesterday, please help. I can access my yahoo addy on other devices & laptops, just my desktop won't let me

It has to do with 2factor authorization I believe. If resetting to factory is the easier way to solve this headache, fine.

4 plus hours ago I decided to reset it to factorypraying it works
