Direct X file missing

Hello guys...

I installed the latest direct x version for win xp but after installation I run direct x diagnostic tool here I see one of the direct x files is missing.The file is named d3dim.dll I have uploaded the image.I have also try to reinstall direct x but it says direct x is up to date.Can any one help solving this problem....

yeah i searched but still no results.File not found...

When you installed Directx has the setup completed succcesfully?

You can download that single DLL file here: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/D/d3dim.dll/5.1.2600.0/download.html
Then save it to C:\WINDOWS\system32

thanks i downloaded the file it solves the problem...

For future reference, if 'hide protected operating system files' is unchecked, the DX dll's will show that are stored in the C:\Windows\System32\dllcache folder.

It may have already been there.

Or not.
