It can be downloaded from fileplanet here

At the end of it they also demo CS done with the HL2 Source engine and have a running demo of the de_aztec map. Looks like CS won't be that ugly old game that people still play anymore. It'll be as pretty as all the latest games :D

See a couple of grabs from the video (not very great quality due to them being captured from Quicktime with Paintshop Pro 6)

CS revamped thanks to HL2.
If you have broadband its worth downloading the video for all the HL2 content, the CS bit is just a bonus :D

So, that's CS:CZ? Right? And to download that Video you'd have to be a member... And no offense that's a website I would not like to be a part of (Due to previous encounters) :grinthumb

Well I used Gamespy for Call Of Duty and BF1942 server listings so I just used that info to get the download.

Thats not CS:CZ. The AK skin looks the same but the rest of the graphics are from what I guess you could call CS2. CS:CZ is still using the HL engine and not the HL2 engine.

If you wait about 50 minutes I'll be at home and will post some CS:CZ screen shots in the Techspot Gallery ;)

And yeah! I'm home all day... Hahaha! I don't have school or a job (In the middle of trying to get into the Police) :D

Well, the CS part of the video is actually CSS or CS:S, namely Counter Strike: Source, a straight port of the original CS to the Source engine.

Valve is porting HL1 and it's expansions to the Source engine, which sounds quite interesting. If the anti-cheat code (++) works well, I might start playing CS(S) again...

I downloaded it yesterday, but haven't had time to watch it before now... Thanks for reminding me, or I'd probably wouldn't have remembered until sunday or suchlike... ;)

That Counter Strike clip at the end was a bad idea IMO. Looked pretty crappy. Even though it is just a port.

It may not look as amazing as some demos you see of new games but its a very welcome update to the game of CS which has been looking dated for about 4 years :D

Ah, I'd seen most of it, but the version I got this time wasn't shaking and having problems with brightness...

Just makes me look forward to this game even more.

And as Arris says, it's just a graphical refresh of an old game. Since it's not the main point of the Source development, it isn't so strange that they haven't spent so much time making it look better than it does.
