Emails won't open

I did some basic cleaning on a friend's computer to get her ie back up to speed. Now she can't open the emails. Is it possible to uninstall ie and reinstall it to get a clean copy? I don't think her machine needs a complete cleaning because her internet connection is fine. I'm going back over there tomorrow. Thanks for any help.

Perhaps you could let us know what kind of errors she is facing, and with which program. Screenshots would help alot too.

I got Error Code 4 in yahoo mail account. It occurs when trying to access a message moved or deleted they say. That wasn't happening, but it cleared up when I logged out and back in. IE is running fine now. Thanks for your help.
