Error message from WoW

Hey guys, I got a problem error message "World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure Direct X 9.0c is installed and your video drivers are up to date." My game was working previously for 6 months with the problem, i used to only get that error message when i opened the game from my desktop, so to avoid the message I opened the game from the startup menu, and the game worked fine. Now though when i open it from anywhere I get the error message, ugh.

These are the Nvidia video cards supported by World of Warcraft...

nForce Integrated Graphics
GeForce 2 (GTS / Ultra / Ti / Pro / MX) Series
GeForce 3 (Ti) Series
GeForce 4 MX Series
GeForce 4 Ti Series
GeForce FX Series
GeForce 6 Series
GeForce 7 Series*

I have Geforce 4 MX 420, so i dont see a problem there...

If you need more information just ask...

I found this from HEREThey`re fairly generic uninstall/reinstall instructions.

1. Use the add/ remove control panel to uninstall your Warcraft game and patches.

2.Now reinstall Direct X over its previous install

3. Use the add/ remove control panel to remove all your video drivers. You will now be

using the default VGA driver provided with Windows. Stop the automatic found new

hardware wizard from starting, everytime you reboot.

4.Download the latest drivers for your video card. Do not install yet.

5. Now re-install the game and patch. After installing the game, try to start it, you will

get the same error message.

6. Now install your new video drivers and reboot.

7. Now try starting your game, it should work. (At least it did for me, I spent 6 hours last

Saturday figuring these steps out.)
