Facebook photo uploader doesn't work in firefox

My friend says the Facebook photo uploader doesn't work in Firefox on her computer.
Every time she tries to use the photo uploader, it gives her the message as if she's using an incompatible browser, and shows the simplified photo uploader (with only 5 slots to upload photos, etc).

I'm confused because on some of the other computers it appears to be working.
It also works in Google Chrome... but not in Firefox.

Someone suggested using the IE tab plugin, but that seems like more of a work around than a solution.
I'm not very familiar with facebook, so if this is a widespread problem or an individual incident I'd like to know, as well as if anyone knows how to fix it.

this is just a plain question from another who is not too familiar with facebook...does Firefox have a tab plugin for this?

Well it would if it'd let you upload photos it would... but that's for downloading photos it appears.
