I'm having a problem logging into XP. I was working on a friends PC when this happened. System starts up fine but when it gets to the log on screen where i have to select user name and password i get a problem. I enter the password and then i'm being logged in and then logged out. When i was working on her rig i accidentally broke the connector of a Dell IDE HDD cable (her rig is a Dell) and i had to use another cable. May be this is happening because i'm not using a proprietary Dell cable, i dont know. I cant think of anything else that could be causing it. Any ideas?
