Format D: ERROR

I need to format drive D: (my DVD-CD Drive). I tried it in DOS already, but this message keeps on saying it is a network drive. I need help

If you're trying to format a CD-RW or DVD±RW you'll need some CD/DVD burning software to format that disc. You won't be able to format that via command line unless your CD/DVD burning software uses command line.

Do you mean REFRESH a cdrw ?
or
are you trying to format a cdr like you would a floppy?

dont need formatting, your software should take care of everything.
