Hi!

I´m getting a new notebook soon, with the following specs:

Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4 Ghz
NVidia GeForce 8600M GT 512 MB
4GB DDR2 667 RAM
160 GB 7200 rpm HDD

Can anyone recommend a good game that would run nice on this computer? I know games are a lot about personal taste, but any suggestions? I like car games (like Need For Speed) and FPS (Max Payne, RTCW etc).

They just came out with a new NFS game called prostreet, I've never played it, but it looks pretty awesome. Also, a good FPS that never let's me down, is Counter Strike

Hellgate is not all that great

I got Hellgate when it first came out and its fun the first time out, but got boring really quick. I'm getting a new computer soon too. Below are the specs.

Hoping to get back to playing Battlefield 2142. Game was kinda slow on my previous computer.

This depend what type of games you like, For fps games, i would recommend call of duty 4, or crysis at medium setttings.

For rps i would recommend Hellgate london

Those are pretty good specs, But i would recommend at least a 500watt power supply, because of the dual core and 8800gt.

Otherwise, very nice!

I will definitively get NFS Prostreet, I´ve played and enjoyed almost every NFS release. RPG are great, but it takes a lot of time, something that I don´t have too much of... :(
I´ll take a look at Call of Duty 4, though.

On second thoughts, and after taking a closer look on Hellgate London I find that this is one of not very many games with support for DirectX 10. Is that right? Other great games with DirectX10 support?
