A while back we told that we needed to turn off Google Gadgets, because people could get our user names and password through them, or maybe it was the threat of viruses. I don't remember.
Is this a lifetime thing,or will the time come when we can use them again?

Went to the link, and read user comments: some say it might be turned on again, most think it wont, and many think it's just a way for Microsoft to get you to start using W8. I saw a preview of Windows 8. I hope it never gets launched.

The way I understand it, the gadgets are of the operating system, not Google. If it’s so, the thread title that mentions Google should be corrected accordingly.
