Have outlook 2000 but my cell ph needs outlook 2002 or newer

I have a cell phone (Motorola Q9 C windows mobile6 that says it needs outlook 2002 or newer to retrieve my contacts and such but all I have is outlook 2000. What can I do to work around this? Will another program help? Thanks you all.
