So plug the VGA/ RCA adapter into your computers monitor output connection and plug the red and white RCA plugs into the back of your big TV, following red to red and white to white. That takes care of the sound connections. Only one thing is missing now... The video output connection. There should either be an S-Video (small round black connector), or a yellow composite video RCA connector left over. Plug this into the video input of the TV. You may have to play with the resolution and the refresh rate of the video from the computer. Computer monitors and TV's run at different frequencies. Be aware that the computer video may look pretty bad on the TV anyway
