I need help with me sims 2 double deluxe eddition

i just bought the game yesterday and i came home lasnight to install it and every thing was going go untill it was time to put in the code and as soon as i put it in it kept saying the code i intered was incorrect i tried several times with the same code thats on the back of the manual but that didnt work can anyone help
