Instagram says it now has the right to sell your photos

Instagram said today that it has the perpetual right to sell users' photographs without payment or notification, a dramatic policy shift that quickly sparked a public outcry. The new intellectual property policy, which takes effect on January 16, comes three months after Facebook completed its acquisition of the popular photo-sharing site. Unless Instagram users delete their accounts before the January deadline, they cannot opt out.

How much more does Facebook have to do, to prove they don't have the users interest at heart, before everyone stops using Facebook?

Thanks for the info. There are many risks and scams lurking in the web, which keeps changing continuously as well, and the best defense is to stay informed.

Unfortunately, whichever social media site one would want to choose, such threats will remain, simple fact is, "selling people's information" is their core business, so why become 'free / voluntary workers' for such sites?
