Iphone 4s security

According to Wikipedia it came out in 2013. Its iOS 7.1.2 is it still secure enough to be online or not? Its only used for the camera & email. I saw the news about fruitfly so thought I'd ask. TIA

The 4s can move up to 9.3.5, but even that may not be sufficient - - truth is - - security is known.

I still check for iOs updates but none have been there which is why I asked, thank you.I've considered taking it offline , too.
