Long-living & power-efficient skylake build

Hi guys need help here,

I'm going to try building my first pc, my budget is very limited (under $800), but in future I plan to upgrade it step by step to achieve a high-end pc (but also power efficient).

Any ideas for a skylake build using NVIDIA (I am working using CUDA, so win-win solution for gaming and working pc ) that long-lasting (upgradeable for 3-5 years in the future) & also power efficient (green) ?
