Low Disk Space? Remove the Extra Drive That Appeared with Windows 10 Update 1803

Windows 10's April 2018 Update (version 1803) brought various new features and removed some others, but also introduced a bug to many systems that caused an extra drive to be listed under "This PC." Most annoying of all, the bug causes Windows to display an error prompt about the drive being nearly full.

I was able to solve this issue with a third-party partitioning tool. For some reason, I forget DISKPART exists.

I'm a server admin, and we've spent more time in the last couple of months mopping up security updates breaking multiple servers in our environments than in the last few years. Are they not even testing their own updates now? Perhaps they beta test on you guys, then push them out to their own company? Haha

I didn't know it was a widely propagated bug, it just happened in 1/4 PCs at home with W10. Easily fixed with Windows' Disk Management at the time. I just thought it was some random oddity, nothing related to an update.

Yeah, it's sad how quick you forget all of the DOS commands. Remember when you could write config.sys and autoexec.bat files from memory? Or modem AT commands

LOL. For once my Windows 8.1 doesn't have a bug that Windows 10 has.

I didn't get hit with this issue. Then again I don't let my HDD fill up with all sorts of things just OS/Programs that's it. I delete installers from MS Software OS Upgrades for Windows 10.
