N nickc Posts: 921 +11 Jul 17, 2008 #1 I have been trying to run MEMTEST86 and have decide I do not know how to install it to a floppy. every time I run the disk on boot I get remove the disk and press a key to start over. what am I doing wrong?

K kimsland Posts: 13,806 +3 Jul 17, 2008 #2 Download Memtest floppy image: http://www.memtest.org/download/2.01/memtest86+-2.01.floppy.zip Extract the zip file Insert a blank floppy Double click on Install.bat Restart, confirm CMOS set to boot from Floppy All done From README.txt, inside the extracted zip "floppy" folder: BIOS reporting floppy disk read errors. Either re-write or toss the floppy disk. Click to expand... Also run Memtest for 7 Passes on your Ram (approx: 4Hrs) Any faults what-so-ever, discard the Ram card and purchase new .
