Monitor lost color and volume is distorted and low

My monitor lost it’s color, leaving it grainy and fuzzy with only greenish, bluishish and grayish colors and being dark. I have tried watching countless YouTube videos and nothing worked. My monitor is over 8 years old, I can’t really afford to purchase a new one, especially if the problem can be fixed. Also the sound coming from my monitor is distorted and very low and I don’t have additional speakers, is there a way to fix this problem as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
