The stats were posted by the analysts over at Localytics and are based on app usage statistics from the Windows Phone Market place.

Next Lumias should give us more fairer picture about where the company will be heading, IMO qualitatively even current Lumias feel whole lot better than many other WP phones.

I've been a fan of the lumia's from the start. They just feel like a solid, well built device. I, however, am stuck with my LG quantum, the build quality has much to be desired. My contract is up in October so I'll be able to get right in there and grab one. I'm not quite sure where the "more than half" number comes from.
