My computer keeps rebooting itself! I can't even log onto it! The only way to get on it is in safe mode. I have recently installed a program and after that is when it started doing this. I tried to unistall the program in safe mode, but it wouldn't let me. The program happens to be norton 2007. I have heard that this is a possible worm. Can anyone help me? any thoughts on what I should do? Right now, I am using my husband's mac, its an older mac. thanks in advance.

Try running a virus scan, you can get some free stuff from AVG or a number of other compaines.
i have ran a virus scan and it found nothing, i ran avg. it still reboots itself. Please help me!

Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. then it had a series of numbers and then it said begin of physical memory dump physical memory dump complete.
In Safe Mode with Networking as Administrator, download the removal tool and run it:

thanks for the help, that seemed to fix the problem. guess I will not be putting norton on my computer anytime soon huh? lol
