Need a Modem

I need a Modem for the new computer im building, so could some of you guys suggest a really good one?

I have a DSL connection.

You modem should have been supplied by your DSL provider. If not you need to contact them and request one!!!!!

They plugged the DSL line into the back of my computer, and I dont wont to pay a monthly fee for one.

Take a good look, you are probably talking about an RJ45 cable, similar to the ones you use in a network.
They go into the NIC or Network Interface Card. Every modern PC has one, so you don't need to buy a 'modem' as you call it.
