Need help with a problem

Alright, know my uncles computer is running on windows 98, and since he removed his freedom antivirus program his computer has been locking up. It will start up fine, but whenever you move the mouse for like 3 seconds it freezes,.... please help, ask me if you need more info and ill see if i can supply it

If you can boot , immediately press cntrl+Alt+Del and turn off as many running programs as you can. If you can keep running, type' msconfig ' in the run box and use the start up page to stop every program from starting ( not system items)
If you can reboot then I would remove every reference to that anti virus program that you can find in the Registry and Explorer.
If you can reboot and run O.K. If not you can try adding one of the running programs to start one at a time to see if one of them is causing a conflict.
98 is driver conflict heaven you need to find if the removal of the anti virus caused it .
