hi i'm looking for restore disks for this computer runny xp2 from a dell disk but it wont accept keys (did'nt think it would) any help would help thanks

A Yahoo search for "d300 Signia" yielded 12 results, none of which appear to be relevant.
If you're trying to install Windows XP using the OEM key that was issued to a Dell of yours, it's not going to work (as you appear to of discovered). If you want XP on that PC, you'll have to buy license.
