Nero Vision problem with Vista

Hi,
I have a problem with Nero Vision, both Nero 7 and Nero 8 editions...
I use Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1... and with XP SP2 I didn't have this problem...
I am trying to make a DVD video out of pictures and few video clips...
So, in Nero 8, when I go Add Video Files... and select those I want to add, it just shows me the program stopped responding, and all I can do is close it...
I nero 7, when I add files, and click open, it finishes the process but then nothing is shown in the window and the program stops responding, when I click on it, I hear chimes... and I have to close it via Task Manager...
Any solutions, or some other good programs with which I could do this?

Well, I did the job using Windows Movie Maker and DVD maker, but I would still like to use Nero Vision, since it has better options and I am used to working with it...
