Also, some services cannot be disabled from a telnet window, though those are rare. From Microsoft's XP page, there is no stop command for Terminal Services: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/net_stop.mspx For Windows 2000, there does not appear to be a similar command: http://www.microsoft.com/windows200...?url=/windows2000/en/server/help/net_stop.htm Windows 2003 Enterprise appears to be the same: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/...v/2003/enterprise/proddocs/en-us/net_stop.asp All of this was found in google and MS's site, but perhaps there is a way that I didn't see. btw- Welcome to Techspot!
